While the debate over what is truly "custom" may never end on the forums, we here at ConawayDrums! are constantly looking to expand what may be the largest selection of lugs, hoops, spurs, wraps, veneers, and finishes available. We feel that you should have the final say in what is truly "custom" to you.

Several years ago, I visited a small but affluent music store in my hometown of Houston, Texas and saw a 6 piece kit from a major manufacturer in the very finish I had wanted for sometime. Six drums, no hardware, pedals, or rack for over $4000! I was informed of easy monthly payments--36 months!--and left the store without the kit I had wanted.

I will not go to the bank for drums. Period. Neither should you.

Since its inception in 1995, ConawayDrums! has incorporated a simple Mission Statement: "To place high quality drum and percussion equipment into the hands of as many drummers as wanted them at a reasonable price."

We are trying very hard to set new standards in selection and service. Keep an eye on our site as we will continue to expand and try to meet most everyone's needs. Whether you play small jazz kits, the larger double bass kits with numerous toms or anything in between, ConawayDrums! can help with the drums you want. We create sizes some companies won't touch...deeper basses are our specialty!

We offer the widest selection of toms, snares, and basses imaginable. Our toms range in size from 6"- 20", our snares range from 8"- 15", and our basses go from 16" x 16" up to a whopping 24" x 28"! Simply let us know the custom sizes you'd like and we'll work with you to make sure you get what you really want.

If you're looking to upgrade or purchase a new snare only, we can help there too. We start with Genuine Keller Maple or Birch 10 ply shells in all of the same finishes found on our kits. Acrylic snare shells are also available now in over 40 colors! In addition, we now have 20, 30, and 40 ply snares available in 13" and 14" up to 8" deep. Custom vent layouts on all snares now available at no additional charge.

1. We start with Genuine Keller Maple or Birch shells, a worldwide industry standard of quality. We use only Keller Grade "A" face shells, even on our wrapped kits and snares...never any "seconds".

2. Acrylic shells now available in over 40 colors. Sizes range from 6" up to 26", and up to 24" depths! Sparkles and glitters are only available up to 22" diameters. Write for a fast quote with specific sizes and color.

3. Your choice of any of our numerous transparent colors,fades,and bursts.We can usually match competitors
finishes as well.

4. Your choice of over 100 domestic or exotic veneers. Most all can be done in color, fades, or bursts at no additional charge. If you don't see a veneer you'd like, write us. We can most likely locate it for you.

5. We buy from at least 8 different suppliers in an attempt to offer the largest selection of hardware options available.

6. Powdercoating is now offered in over 50 colors for most all hardware. Metallics,sparkles, and flat colors readily available.

7. As a rule, we use 6 ply toms, 8 ply basses and 10 ply snare shells for our kits. Reinforcement rings are optional on any shell at an additional cost. We can also create kits using thicker ply shells if you prefer. Write with specific sizes and shell plies for a fast quote.

8. Vents installed on any snare drum up to 3" at no additional charge. Patterns also available.

9. All hanging toms are mounted on DSS rings for superior resonance at no additional charge. All sizes, 8"-16", are available in chrome, black, or brass. Your choice of tom mount is included.Optional DSS floor tom cradles are available in chrome, black or brass with matching legs included. Gauger RIMS, including floor tom cradles, also available in black or aluminum at an additional charge.

10. Your choice of chrome, black, or brass hardware on snares and kits at no additional charge.

11. Lifetime warranty on all hardware, short of abuse.

12. Snare drums now available in 20, 30, or 40 plies.
Write with specific size and ply for a fast quote.

13. Diecast hoops now available for all toms, 8"-16", in chrome at an additional charge.

14. Wood hoops currently available for all snares and toms, 8"-16", at an additional charge. These hoops can be left Natural, stained, or painted to match your kit or snare.

15. Plastic wraps now available with over 40 styles, maybe the largest on the web!
